The sessions at Apple studios went more smoothly than had the rehearsals at Twickenham, but the facilities were not ready on the day the Beatles wanted to start rehearsing there.
"Magic" Alex had promised to build the Beatles state-of-the-art recording equipment, but his efforts fell far short of his claims.
The Beatles had to wait a couple of days while George Martin secured the use of mobile recording equipment.
